Langley Grammar School has a long history of commitment to teachers' continuing professional development in ICT and Computing, starting with 'specialist school' status in Maths and Computing in the early 2000s. 

More recently, the school was designated one of the first National Computing Hubs from 2019 - 2022, a Government-funded programme intended to enhance the teaching of Computing.

During the course of this three-year contract we worked in partnership with STEM Learning, Teach Computing and other organisations to provide a range of support for primary and secondary computing teachers in schools and colleges in their area, including teaching, resources and CPD activities.

We now work closely with the Bucks, Berks and Oxon computing hub, based at St Clement Danes School in Hertfordshire to support the development of computing expertise in schools across a wider area.  

iPads, Apple Distinguished School and Apple RTC

We are an Apple Distinguished School in recognition of our use of iPads for teaching and learning, and are designated as an Apple Regional Training Centre to promote and run CPD events focusing on the effective use of Apple technology in schools.
