Langley Grammar School has been awarded a Bronze Certificate by the Incorporated Society of Musicians.  This means that more than 10% of all the school’s Year 11 students in 2016 achieved an A* to C in GCSE Music.

John Constable, Headteacher, said "This Award recognises our commitment to Music as a central part of school life. We have seen increasing numbers of students developing their interest in music through extracurricular activities and by choosing it as one of their optional subjects for GCSE.  At a time when there is increasing pressure to narrow the curriculum, we believe it is important to maintain the breadth and creativity represented by the inclusion of music.  Congratulations again to the students, and to our dedicated Music staff team." 

Deborah Annetts, Chief Executive of the ISM – the professional body for musicians – congratulated the school, saying:
