Welcome to our Virtual Open Event page
For those unable to attend open events in person at the school, this 'Virtual Open Event' page contains some helpful information about the school for prospective Year 7 pupils and their parents.
This information is aimed primarily at those children currently in Year 6 who will be seeking entry to Year 7 in September, but will also be of interest to parents of children in Year 5.
Please be aware that this page contains a number of embedded video links and, depending on the device you are viewing on, may take a little while to load fully.
- If you are a pupil, the idea is to help you see something of what life at Langley Grammar School is like.
- For parents, we hope this information will help you to talk with your child about whether this is the right school for them.
Open Evening - taking place in September
Our main school Open Evening takes place in late September for families to view our facilities and meet our staff and students in person.
There will be opportunities to tour the school and attend a presentation by the Headteacher. Admissions staff will also be available for any questions regarding the 11+ process and admissions.
The Headteacher presentations will be held at various times in the main hall.
If you cannot attend our Open Evening, a recorded version of the Headteacher's presentation will be available online on this ‘Virtual Open Evening’ webpage following the event.
There is very limited on-site car parking available, so if you are able, please walk to the school.
Booking for the open evening will open after the summer break.

Langley Grammar School Admissions Arrangements
- The school's Admissions Policy is a formal document which describes the arrangements for admission to Year 7 at Langley Grammar School in September 2026. The same information can be found on a separate webpage here.
- A narrated presentation explaining our admissions arrangements is available below. This presentation was originally recorded in 2022 but applies to Year 7 entry in September 2026 as the admissions arrangements have not changed in any significant way.

In this section you can view short presentations produced by our subject departments. These take a variety of forms. Some are narrated slide presentations, some are videos. Some have been put together by staff, others by students. Some feature students talking, others are narrated by members of staff. The videos were originally made during the 2021-22 academic year, and do not necessarily reflect the latest developments in each subject area. However, taken together they provide a flavour of the experience pupils might experience in their subject studies at Langley Grammar School. |
