Transport to Langley Grammar School
Roads around the school become very congested at the beginning and end of school, so any efforts to ease the problem would be beneficial to students, parents and local residents. Walking and cycling are a healthy and environmentally friendly choice. Cycle sheds are available by the Sports Hall and cycling courses are offered by the school to help students develop their skills and confidence on the road. We strongly advise that students wear cycle helmets and bring a secure lock for their bike.
Car Share
Langley Grammar School acts as an intermediary by publishing the details of families who are interested in the car share scheme. Other interested families are then able to access this database of information.
If you would like your details to be included on the database please complete the car share information consent form and return it to the school. Your details will be held on the database until we are advised that you wish for them to be removed.
Car sharing is an arrangement between individual parents who must be prepared to enter into a reciprocal agreement. It is each parent’s responsibility to check that those providing car-shares have suitable insurance cover in place and that, where appropriate, child seats are available. Langley Grammar School takes no responsibility for the scheme’s operation.
Train
The school is approximately 15 minutes walk from Langley station which is on the Paddington-Reading line serving Ealing, Southall and Hayes to the east and Slough, Burnham and Maidenhead to the west.

Public Service Buses
There are a number of public service bus routes which pass within walking distance of the school.

One of the most popular services is Route 81 which operates from Hounslow, serving Colnbrook, Harmondsworth, Cranford, Hounslow West and Hounslow. Buses stop at 10-12 minute intervals on the A4 London Road within 10 mins walk of the school.
Other bus routes which use the A4 within walking distance of the school include Green Line coaches and the First bus service. Slough bus station is approximately 2 miles from the school with onward connections by train or bus to Langley and Windsor.
Private Coach and Minibus services
There are a number of private coach and minibus companies which operate services to the school from different areas.
Please note that all the coach services are provided by private companies and therefore Langley Grammar School does not accept responsibility for these services. Arrangements are directly between parents and the individual company to whom any queries should be addressed.
